Introduction to the series

Shed Productions created the prison drama Bad Girls which ran for 8 series from 1999. It was the brain child of Maureen Chadwick, Eileen Gallagher and Ann McManus.

It was initially famous for the Nikki Wade and Simone Lahbib characters relationship which took place during the first three series.

Notorious and memorable characters emerged like Body Bags, Fenner, Yvonne Atkins and the Two Julies.
